Many of the TICOLICHEN papers are free, including the pyrenos(!)

[edit: Looks like T. neogalbineum is the best match: gray thallus with small pseudostroma which are orange externally.]

Following Jason’s suggestion, I found a list of pyrenolichen genera occurring in the Sonoran Desert (not exactly Panama, but the book was handy!), and then looked for pictures of those genera on Pictures of Tropical Lichens.
