Recognized by sight: the reddish color and grandinioid surface is diagnostic for the naked eye.
Used references
Based on microscopic features: no cystidia, but capitate hyphal ends present, all hyphae with clamps and especially in the aculei heavily encrusted, smooth spores, on pine tree.
