my knowledge of lichens is almost nothing. However the location here were my primary hunting grounds for some years, and I had never seen this one. I looked through Matthews portfolio of images at this site with lichens of Florida, and they are all familiar sites except this. One thing I gather from the photo is the bark is probably not Sabal palmetto (Sabal Palm) but perhaps another kind of palm.

Arthonia rubrocincta ?

According to a paper by Grube & Lendemer (available here) the species Arthonia rubrocincta is endemic from (or close) to the region of this observation. It makes part of a complex of species that also includes A cinnabarina (which I already encontered – see MO73120) and A. speciosa. You can find details in the paper referred to above.
