interesting Russula, but not lutea…

which, at least according to “Fungi in Finland and Sweden,” has yellow gills and a white stem.

not only do you find nice mushrooms penny, you also take nice photos.

but unless you collect as well, many will remain nameless, at least confidantly beyond genus.

“Interesting” idea

I have been thinking of create a page for observations that don’t have much feedback yet. A thought might be a way for users to say they are curious about a particular observation which would move it up that ranking. Would it be reasonable to ask that the person saying they are curious about a collection to say why they are interested in it so that the people looking to provide feedback would know what to provide?

If this had a “like” button I would like it. The MO site developers should add an “interesting” button that pushes ones like this that are neat, but still unresolved, back up to the front of the line…
