Observation 87047: Deconica (W.G. Sm.) P. Karst.
When: 2012-01-27
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: These were growing on dung and quite small, with caps up to 6mm across.
Gills adnate and subdistant.
Did get a spore print…dark brownish purple.
Spores were fairly large, ~ 14.8-16.0 X 9.9-11.8 microns. Q(ave.) = 1.41.
Quite a bit of Cheilocystidia, narrowly lageniform.
Initially thought they might be P. coprophila but spores appear much too large.
Not even sure these are Psilocybe but habitat and spore color seem right.

Deconica sp. certainly looks to be the right parking place.
From what I can tell, the spores still don’t match up in size with the three suggestions.

A few suggestions
