Nice – typical Entocybe spores

really indistinct angles because there are so many, 8-10.
The umbo is less important, especially when this young since it’s a function of differential tissue expansion as the fruitbody ages (less over the attachment with the stipe, more towards the margin).

interesting how the color faded over time…

and the cap expanded (and obviously started spore production) too.

you can see a striate margin here, too, but still no umbo! how important is that feature for ID?

spore detail is a bit sketchy in the photo.
