Checked the 1944 Hawaiian Flora

Admittedly somewhat out of date, but in volume II page 22 you can easily verify that only a few species match with red podetia, no cups (“non scyphiferous” – I had to look it up!) and decorticate podetia:

C. didyma var. vulcanica
C. didyma var. didyma
C. oceanica

I don’t know oceanica, but it describes it as “straw-colored”, not translucent, with verrucae. I see microsquamules, not just verrucae.
