I forgot to mention that. I have three such species in my keys, and illota was the result only by ruling out the others. The almondy smell is not persistent as in fragrantissima (a very rare, southern species). This is a big one, the cap 14-15 cm, which would rule out grata(laurocerasi) that’s about half the size. The spore ornaments are conspicious, but not quite as large as in grata, I think. I don’t get a very good picture of them in my microscope.
It’s still puzzling that this obs was made so much further north than any of the other swedish ones. I suspect that we might have some additional, undescribed, species here.
