Attached laterally to downed fir.
The pileus is soft and tomentose, cream colored with a chocolate brown margin. The flesh is white and leathery or rubbery. There are tiny angular pores (>4mm) stretching out at margin. It has a strong smell of anise.
KOH 5% yellow on pores, pileus, and flesh.
