This mild yellowish/green Russula can be mistaken for any of the other mild species in the Sierra/Cascade range, such as such as R. mustelina gr. or R. aeruginea gr., but the deep yellow spore color is a good guide. This species si closely aligned with Russula olivacea from the coast
