Observation 87565: Ductifera sucina (Möller) K. Wells
When: 2012-02-08
Who: Byrain
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing on an oak log with Bisporella citrina and Stereum.

The spores are smooth, the gloecystidia (?) is yellow in KOH + abundant, and the hyphae has clamp connections. I have been having trouble keying this out, any help is appreciated.

Spore range = (13) 14 – 17 (18) x 7 – 9 μ
Average spore = 14.95 × 7.75 μ
Average Q = 1.94
20 spores measured

I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to me earlier, but could these be two different species? The microscopy would be for the brown specimens.
