There definitely is group of yellowish resupinates with brown perithecia. Glad to get a name to study further.

of these yellow Hypocrea with reddish-brown perithecea. H. sulphurea is parasitic on exidia. But I have seen collections on decorticated wood with no obvious exidia fruitings. Barrie Overton has written a paper on this group.

H. gelatinosum. Possibly H. sulphureum, especially if that dried thing in the middle is exidia.
