Observation 87703: Lentinus Fr. sect. Lentinus

When: 2012-02-12

Collection location: Thonotosassa, Florida, USA [Click for map]

Who: Josh M.K. (suchen)

No specimen available

I find this with some frequency near Tampa, Florida. They usually take on a “tricorne” shape (like the hats worn by British soldiers and others in the 1700s) and I am wondering which species of Lentinus this is.
