Observation 88049: Agaricus L.

Notes:
identified as Agaricus hondensis at the BAMS meeting, fruit body tossed. no KOH test.
did save a mature gill section, and its spore drop is shown here.

Recognized by sight: no staining, pure white when collected. thick, felty annulus.
Based on microscopic features: spores thick walled, brown, irregular ellipsoid with prominent apiculus.
9 × 5; 8 × 5; 9 × 5.5; 8 × 6.
Based on chemical features: some got a faint whiff of phenol from this fruit body; I didn’t.
