Yes, all the general features seem alike, visually. There are other species of Lecania in WI, but they either look different, or saxicolous.

Black button crust looks much like Lecania dubitans. Pure guesswork, but superficially very similar, no?

Well, if you can’t ID the lichen here, at least insect in question is Oystershell Scale.
