Observation 88055: Ischnoderma resinosum (Schrad.) P. Karst.

When: 2012-02-18

Collection location: Unity, New Hampshire, USA [Click for map]

Who: Amy Earl (amye)

No specimen available

Old and very tough/woody. Something has eaten away at the margin to reveal light brown or straw colored flesh. Found on cut logs in a hemlock stand, so I’m assuming it’s hemlock. Same species as http://mushroomobserver.org/obs/88032?q=BqP6 which was also on a conifer log.

These larger shelves were on another log right next to the one in the first picture.
