The R. intermedia is fascinating, good stuff. I found one like that once in the Smokies and called it that, but never believed it. Looks exactly like yours. Crazy genus. R. farinacea is still bewildering. Compare it to the stuff that grows in coastal mts here in southern California. Good grief.

On the other hand, observation 120120 turned out to be R.intermedia, even though it’s similar and grows on bark too.

Let me know when you get a determination on any of your material from a local lichenologist. (Excluding americana/culbersoniorum, those are easy.) Curtis looked at some of your specimens and came up with completely different names than I did. While I have little confidence in my understanding of Ramalina, his ids were absolutely bewildering to me. So now I’m questioning which direction is up, and would love to get a third opinion.
