Observation 88526: Tylopilus plumbeoviolaceus (Snell & E.A. Dick) Singer

When: 2010-08-28

Collection location: Montgomery Co., Maryland, USA [Click for map]

Who: Martin Livezey (MLivezey)

No specimen available

Notes:
Our inimitable, and inedible Tylopilus plumbeoviolaceus. In Rock Creek Park and environs, it seems to be the most common Bolete. It is always there and it seems long-lived. These taken in the lawn of the local library where we hold our club meetings. Under oak.
