Notes: This stuff was soft and compressible, kinda like firm foam rubber. It was on a hardwood stick about the width of a broom handle.

I think gypsy moth might be right. The texture was similar to that of a cocoon.

does Enteridium lycoperdon obtain such a consistency in age? I’ve only known it from plasmodial collections.
