I agree the name the P. papilionaceus name is likely, but I would also like to see more microscopy on Australian Panaeolus. And do keep your eyes open for any lignicolous species like P. bernicis which is known from Australia. :)

If I see them again I will collect them. They didn’t pique my interest at the time. Given the veil fragments and sheep poo substrate I was happy to call them Pan. papilionaceus and move on.
