See observation 90940 & observation 90946. It seems most of the Xanthoparmelia at that location are the same species X.subramigera. I could be wrong and it could be X.plittii. I’ll wait for J.Bennett’s comment on this.

Piece of lower surface

I just added another photo, showing tiny piece of lower surface. I can’t glean anything from that myself – it’s too small and the color doesn’t stand out. The good news is – I know exactly where this piece of rock is, and have a good chance of finding it this coming season. Don’t go away…
