The spore producing surface is the most interesting part of any mushroom from the taxonomic perspective.

This is a learning experience for me. No, I didn’t get any gill shots. When I photograph fungi this coming season, I’ll be sure to do so.

Hello Ilona

Did you get gill shots for any of these? For the most part we need to see both top and bottom of the mushroom to get started on what kind it might be. This is a cool photo in that it shows white spores, but come on, show us what it looks like on the business end.
