Recognized by sight: according to Mr. Tulloss – Slivno is on the Balkan peninsula in Southeastern Europe. Growing with birch, aspen, hornbeam, oak, not sure about pines there

Because of the cap color…

I’d guess this might be A. argentea. At one time a number of popular guides synonymized this name with A. mairei, but they are quite different. I think that A. mairei is more likely to be found in the Mediterranean region; and A. argentea is more likely to be found farther north…although the ranges may overlap.
