It is not Mucinupta laevis (Cyphellostereum).

I know this tiny species very well.
But didn’t you say at the beginning, this could be Rimbachia? And now you say contradictory?
The location is a swamp, a marsh land, bog (French: marais) and yes I think it grew on sedges but not sure. There were many other bog species there like Cortinarius bibulus, Cortinarius helvelloides, Marasmius limosus, Laccaria purpureobadia and the like.
But as I said I am not able to check this again unless I would ask the finder. He assured twice this is Cellypha so I trusted him. Next time I will save voucher for myself too, haha …

Doesn’t look like Rimbachia.

A similar looking moss species is Cyphellostereum laeve.
Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t Cellypha goldbachii prefer sedge/grass stems? (And it looks like these are on sedge stems)

it is not my ID and I have no voucher material to re-examine. It has been determined during a meeting in France and I took it as that. What do you make believe it to be Rimbachia?

why not
