Great example of a Coprinopsis!

As discussed we’ve been discussing with Coprinellus micaceus, note how the universal veil tissue is stringy, so this is now a Coprinopsis. According to Index Fungorum it is now Coprinopsis lagopus. It’s interesting that the species epithet did not change gender. This probably means that lagopus is a noun rather than an adjective.
