Notes: Observations MO89115 to MO89122 took place at an old fence inside a small village, made of the (calcareous) local stones and some soil.

Lacking of the bluish prothallus usually present in Placynthium nigrum.

in Stridvall’s Placynthium gallery some specimens lacking a bluish prothallus, but in that case some kind of prothallus exists between the areolas. I was not able to see any prothallus in this specimen. Thanks, Antonio.
