Observation 89501: Gloeophyllum sepiarium (Wulfen) P. Karst.
When: 2012-03-16
(35.0° 84.0° )
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found on the structural wood of a building.
Spores bacilliform to lacrymoid, hyaline. They were few and far between on this dried up fruitbody that has probably been out there all winter maybe longer.
Hyphae are pigmented, and aseptate from what I could see.
The top was pretty densely hairy with some concentric zones among the red coloration.
