Notes: A few characters that do not appear to key very well against the descriptions in the manuals… Interiors of some of the ones seen here are shiny despite there having been no recent rainfall, growth in moss at the base of a White Oak tree as opposed to decaying conifer wood.
Firm/rubbery context is whitish. Exterior minutely hairy/scruffy. I did not examine with a hand lens until the next day after collecting.
I was unable to get a spore sample.
