Observation 90505: Cortinarius subgenus Myxacium (Fr.) Fr.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found under live oak, pine.

Lilac-grey in cap and stipe, grey to lilac grey gills. Context and cap light brown in KOH. Cap and stipe viscid, and taste mild.

Funny bluish Mixacium here, and big, like 6in in diameter. Haven’t seen anything else like it before.
