Notes: This is the second time that I thought to be looking to a Physcia and latter recognize the existence of something unusual, due to some “frozen” lobes (the correct term is “schizidia” I think). There were a group of specimens growing on a basaltic rock. I returned to the place to scratch the thallus in order to see the yellow medulla (see the 2nd photo).
