Observation 90930: Gyromitra brunnea Underw.
When: 2012-03-25
No herbarium specimen

Notes: 5 fruit bodies growing up through the leaf litter at the base of a 12’ high standing rotten tree. It was the nearest thing to a morel I saw all day. It appears to be two discs pressed together and all distorted. I brought one home and will try to scope it.
