My problem is: X.viriduloumbrina (former X.somloensis) is supposed to have lower surface that’s pale brown, and X.hypofusca (former X.tasmanica) is supposed to have lower surface that’s black. This lichen’s lower surface is dark brown, so which one is it? As far as I know, X.viriduloumbrina is supposed to look like this – bushy, rather than flat. But I’ve never seen X.hypofusca.
