I like Rhytisma, it’d be nice to have a good name for this species on MO when time & health permits ofc. :)

But back then I had it not.
I think the maple is either Acer pseudoplatanus or Acer platanoides. This Rhytisma appears there every year. I’m fine with just the genus. However, most probably this is Rhytisma pseudoplatani. If I have time I will go there (just a few minutes from home) and take a piece for putting under the scope when I am fit again for scoping.

There are other Rhytisma spp. on maple, here is a little bit on it, maybe not that useful here though…


I think without the punctuate dots seen in many of the observations from western North America you have another species.
