a very young Spongipellis pachyodon. Daedaloid pore structure that will erode into teeth. Just don’t know if this fungus grows in Panama. Also the hidpid margin differs from the reflexed margin that I see up here. A spore print would help.

Peniophora: smooth hymenium

Hypocrea: ascomycete, perithecia usually visible, hymenium never poroid labyrinthine as above.
