Look like what I’ve been calling “White” morel.

Find it commonly on Sauvies Island. Usually associated with both old-growth Oregon White oak and Black cottonwood: hard to tell which association they are with. Might even be mycorrhizal.

These look much different

than any morels I have seen in California. They look like east coast morels. They are likely to be growing with the cottonwood.

In a park near a river growing under some hardwood trees, some of the trees had Douglas fir bark under them. Trees were oak and maybe some cottonwood.

Nice morels! I see some wood chips in a couple of your photos. Were there any trees nearby, or other interesting habitat features?
