I’d never heard of the genus, if I remember right, it is characterized by the oblique ostioles and spores with ±cylindrical cells.

But I’ve picked up a sample of this, although I probably lack the means to do a proper testing (like Hubble telescope :-)

Could even be a nonlichenized pyrenomycete — is there definitely algae involved? There are also other genera of pyrenolichens that can have big bulging black perithecia. I’ve never seen a protruding ostiole(?) like this, either.

But I think those pimples are characteristic of Pyrenula. On the other hand, I see pictures of those pimples with what looks like holes up on top. These ones look like Hersheys Kisses, with small protrusion at the very tip of the pimple.
