I would have loved to have heard the words:

“I’m a renowned, published phytopathologist who not only studies but blogs extensively (http://agrociencia-panama.blogspot.com/) on this very kind of fungi.”

a long time ago.

I look forward to further familiarizing myself with your work in Panama.

Well, when a fungi specie have specific morphologic characteristics, their are the same for all observations of same specie. You cant change the description.
The photos and the words are mine, sure. And an old reference; http://www.blogger.com/..., too.

Cryptobasidaceae, cause hypertrophy and deformation of Nectandra and Ocotea fruits (Lauraceae) in Tropics. The “Puff-ball” size 2 – 3 cm. diameter and have billons of larvae like conidias.

I suspect that these are not your words. It follows that you must have taken them from something or someone else. I asked for your reference both because I am curious — as are others, I’m sure — about this taxon and how you came to find it (the same reference could be useful to others in Latin America), and because citing your sources is among the most basic forms of recognition and appreciation for the work undertaken by the original author(s). I think I mentioned this on another observation of yours already.
