Recognized by sight: BIG fruit body growing from wood. large, irregular pores, softish fruit body, slightly ecentric stipe, oranamented cap. collector didn’t recognize species and didn’t search wood for “sclerotium,” so presence or absence unknown.
Based on chemical features: mild taste.
