Observation 93148: Agaricus L.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: I found this growing on the ground in 2" of mulch. I believe it is some species of Agaricus but not sure what. Unfortunately I allowed it to dry for 2 days before I sectioned it. Looked like an Italian Brown. I also found some A. bitorquis in the same area. Conditions are favorable here now for the fruiting of Agaicus. Quarter in image for scale

can you describe the location a bit more? I assume the area is called “Los Ranchos” and it’s located within Albuquerque, yes?
