Observation 9320: Hymenogaster Vittad.

When: 2003-05-30

Seen at: Beavercreek, Clackamas Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

This is a very aromatic Hymenogaster species, first seen by animal mycophagy (an animal eating it by digging a hole and and eating a portion of the sporocarp). This dark brown variation is not one of the species known to me. Found under second-growth Douglas fir.
