Notes: Collection displayed at the 2005 Oregon Mycological Society Fall Mushroom Show, held at the World Forestry Center, Portland, OR. This is a collection of Hydnotrya, which has not yet been identified to species. Hydnotrya truffles are somewhat different than most other truffles, in that they have a fuzzy peridium like Geopora; a chambered gleba like Geopora; and are often associated with well-rotted wood, often fruiting inside of rotting logs.
