Notes: Collection displayed at the 2005 Oregon Mycological Society Fall Mushroom Show, held at the World Forestry Center, Portland, OR. Elaphomyces granulatus has small clusters of spores inside the thick peridium; E. muricatus has no spores in the peridium. All other species of Elaphomyces require detailed examination of spores, sometimes requiring the use of a scanning electron microscope!
