They are not as pure gray as Alan’s, but not nearly as dark brown as Rod’s.

My impression up to now is that the cap of A. constricta is brown.

The mushroom in this observation is somewhat suggestive of a gray-capped, provisional species for which I have a number of collections from SE Arizona (Chiricahua Mtns.):
