my introduction to this genus was via the several 1990 collections made by you and Dr. Franco-Molano outside of Rurrenabaque, currently collecting dust on the shelves of the national herbarium in La Paz.

I’m without library access at the moment, otherwise I’d browse your paper (http://www.jstor.org/...). are there any surefire ways to field ID this genus? we come across so many lepiotaceous fungi down here. jotting down a genus name pre-microscopy is either a matter of instinct or pre-existing familiarity with one or more of the more iconic species/genera. this is as true for this year’s collections as any.
