Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Specimen should be available through the KVMS. Contact Sherry or Richard Kay for details. Specimen donated in 2009. Unfortunately, I do not have more photos available at this time (my photo backups are located elsewhere). Even more unfortunate is the destruction of the fruiting site. I had seen this mushroom annually for several years until they bulldozed the area. I have not seen it since.

convenient maybe, a testament to diversity of habitat, morphology, etc. within the species. but my gut says there are cryptic species within and among coliforme.

It’s a very variable species as you can see in my observations.
