that Lorelei became accustomed to using the name A. gallica before its distribution was more understood. seems unusual for a fungus considered rare in the western US to show up annually at an Oregon mushroom show. furthermore, without a shred of habitat info or other notes, more comprehensive photography, or Lorelei’s personal input, it seems ambitious to have this and similar observations go down as species records for A. gallica in the west.
