Notes: hot, exposed granitic rock outcrops on south slope near top of knob; base pale, conspicuous weak white annular wrinkles near base and extending well into main branches, no papillae, white spots becoming raised smooth bumps becoming soralia eventually but rarely isidate, bumps evenly distributed through out, often irregular and ridged in main and secondary branches, thin dull cortex, thin dense white medulla, unpigmented thick axis; MEDULLA K~y, C-, KC+rose
