Notes: hot, exposed granitic rock outcrops on south slope near top of knob; gray rimose-areolate, K-, C-, KC-, blac k round slightly pruinose lecideine apothecia sunken into thallus between areoles, epihymenium and u pper hymenium dark brown, exciple dark brown to brown inside, hypothecium black and thick, exciple t urning bluish-greenish in K, medulla and hypothecium bubbly in K, hymenium bright blue in IKI, excip le and epihymenium otherwise K- C- KC-, paraphyses narrow and branched; SPORES 8 per ascus, ellipsoid , hyaline, smooth, simple, ~7-10×3-4µm; determined by J. Lendemer; specimen at NY
