Observation 9416: Gastroboletus turbinatus (Snell) A.H. Smith & Singer

This is the largest collection of Gastroboletus turbinatus I have ever made from Larch Mountain, Clackamas County, OR. Most of the fungi were arranged, except for the cut specimen. I then sliced one specimen and took these 4 photographs as fast as I could. As you can see, the bluing reaction of the stipe and cap are nearly instantaneous.
