Observation 9448: Tuber oregonense Trappe, Bonito & P. Rawl.
When: 2001-12-05
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This is a commercial collection of some 5.5 pounds of fresh Tuber oregonense, shortly after Dr. Trappe changed the fall-fruiting form’s name from T. gibbosum to T. oregonense. The original T. gibbosum is much darker in color, becoming nearly black in maturity in the gleba. This collection was found in less than 2 hours.
